Url alias without parent name.

Hi,
Is it possible to have url instead of
http://<domain>/<parent_node_name>/<node_name>

Like this:
http://<domain>/<node_name>
Just avoid having parent node name in url_alias?

I don't think this is possible right now, without hacking the kernel or something like that.

Also, you have to think how to deal with locations. if you have 2 or more locations for an object and you avoid parents for the url, you may get some conflicts.

Yes it is possible.

You can set an URL alias for a special node. In that you can set the same path without the parent.

In the admin siteaccess go to /content/urltranslator (Setup, the 4th menu from bottom)

add "mynodename" in the first and "myparent/mynodename" in the second row.

You can also use complete different names as url alias. but keep in mind not to use names of existing names as an alias
