Hi guys, I'm not sure if I completely understand the concept of shopaccounthandlers. AFAIK, the purpose is to be able to store and retreive custom account information related to an order. However, as far as I can see, the storing of account information seems to be hard coded into shop/userregister.php. Am I missing something here? Thanks in advance !
Sincerely,

It is! But it is quite simple to override this with a custom userrigester.php. settings/shopaccount.ini is a good place to start looking.

Hi Bruce, I can't find anything in shopaccount.ini about overriding userregister.php. Could you please help me get started? Thanks in advance !

Never mind, Bruce. I think I've got it. It seems that the way to specify an alternative to userregister is to create a custom shopaccounthandler and specify the alternative in the fetchAccountInformation method of the eZSimpleShopAccountHandler class. Thanks anyway !

Thats right. Sounds like you have found your way! I aways plan to write these things up but work always seems to get in the way :) It is on the list though! Let me know if you run into any brick walls and I'll try to be of assistance.
Cheers Bruce

Hi
I know this is very old thead!!!
But this was the only discussion I found about this shopaccounthandlers.
I was trying to add new shopaccounthalder as an extension. I have made some progress but I havent be able to add my implementation fo the ezshopaccounthandler.php in the extension instead of the kernel folder. Do you know how to do it?? Regards, Hannes
