Hi,

Having browsed the forums, I've noticed that others have experienced the same problem as I'm currently having (http://www.ez.no/developer/ez_publish_3/forum/install_configuration/how_do_i_get_the_htaccess_file_to_work_or_is_it_okay_to_run_ez_without_using_thehtaccess_file_in_a_non_virtual_host_environment_).

The problem occurs when I rename the .htaccess_root to .htaccess as suggested by ezp documentation. This produces the following error message when I try to access the site using the hostname:

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access / on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Apache/1.3.28 Server at www.mittfirma.no Port 80

However, when I append "index.php", I get in.

Why does the .htaccess file as provided by ezp cause a lockout?

Thanks in advance !

Sincerely,

Eirik Johansen
