Public Access on Multimedia File

Sergi A	Thursday 08 April 2010 11:50:38 pm Hi all, i have uploaded a file on the multimedia section as an administrator. I need this file to be public; it is a kml file which allows to display a borders map on a GMap container... it works when i'm logged in the site but I need the file to be reachable for an anonymous user. When I try to display the map and i'm not logged in, any map is shown. When I try to access the file directly typing the URL, and not logged in, an ez forbidden error is displayed. Thanks, Sergi.
Doug Brethower	Friday 09 April 2010 6:40:42 am Go to your uploaded file and set it into edit mode. In the left pane is a Section setting. If the section setting is set to "Media" and access to the Media section is restricted, that could be the problem. Try changing the Section setting to "User" or "Standard" to see if anonymous users may then access it. You may have to clear the cache to propagate the change.
