Hi, I'm having problems creating a protected section. I am using eZ Publish v. 3.7.3, so I have been following the instructions for creating a protected area as given in http://ez.no/doc/ez_publish/user_manual/3_7/daily_tasks/creating_a_protected_area:

1. I created a top-level folder called "Secret Documents" in the Content Structure.
2. I went to Setup and created a new section called "Secret Section".
3. I assigned "Secret Section" to "Secret Documents" so that "Secret Documents" shows up under "Objects within this section [2]" when I look at Secret Section in the admin interface.

Yet I am still able to see this folder and navigate to it as an anonymous user without logging in. Am I missing a step here or forgetting something? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Matthew

First of all clear the cache and try again. If the problem still occurs, check the policies of the anonymous user. Be default the anonymous user should have content read permissions limited to section standard, maybe you do not have such a limitation there.

Thank you, Claudia!

Yes, that was the problem. The permissions were not correct for anonymous users.
