Hi,
Has anybody got the Forum to work in ez 3?

I run 3.23 and cant create new topics/reply to topics when running as anonymous user.

I only get kernel(3) error and the system claims the object is not accessible.

I suspect this has to do with permissions, but dont know where to start looking...

Any help greatly appreciated!

Hi Nicklas,

I don't remember whether or not editing of forum topics is enabled for the anonymous user, but I'm guessing it's not. To enable it, here's what you do:

1. Logo into eZP and click the "Users" flag.

2. Click on "Roles" in the left menu, and then the "Edit" button for the "Anonymous" role.

3. At the bottom of the list of current access rules, click the "New" button.

4. In step 1 choose the content module, and hit the "Limited access" button.

5. In step 2, choose the function create, and hit the "Limited access" button.

6. In step 3, choose the class "Forum message" (and, if you have one, the "Forum reply" ) and optionally the section and parentclasses that apply (the latter should probably be "Forum" to prevent users from creating forum posts anywhere else).

7. Finally, repeat the steps for creating a new access rule, but this time select the function edit in step 2 and the option "Self" in the owner field in step 3.

Good luck !
