Hi, I have just migrated successfully a site from a server with mysql 4.0 to a server with mysql 5.0. At the same time I have upgraded eZpublish from 3.7.2 to 3.8.8. All operations are completed successfully, but now I have a big problem with the charset: all chars like "à, è, ', etc." are replaced by à or other stranges chars. The database charset collation of source and destination DB ar UTF-8 bin, and I tried to alter the collation with other charset, but the result is the same. Can someone help me to set up the right charset? Thx, Salvatore

Hi Salvatore I wouldn't call this a successful migration, at least not yet ;-) There are some tips on this topic in other forum threads: http://ez.no/community/forum/general/convert_from_iso_8859_1_encoding_to_utf_8 Good luck!

Hi Kristof, yes, you have reason...
But I have just launched your great script and now (maybe) the site seems to work correctly! Thank you very much for your precious help Bye, Salvatore
