not able to count anonymous/ any users

Hi all
I treid the function wrote in the documentations section about fetching user data

It is not working to count number of loggewd in users or number of anonymous users connected to my site
the returned number is empty, or NULL , ' '

Any Help Please

The Code i am using is simply

There are' {fetch( 'user', 'anonymous_count' )} 'guest users.
There are '{fetch( 'user', 'logged_in_count' )} ' useres logged in 

and it shows nothing back to me, how should i write it in a right way

I tested this on my installation and they both work. Which version of eZ publish do you use? I belive this was added in 3.4.0.

Oh
I am using 3.3-3
:( what could i do ???

i want to move higher but can you guide me ? the documentation online for this wasn't very ncie for me
as it said i have to move to 3.5 first but i not clear how to move to there?
