HomeBase, a nonprofit law firm in San Francisco, seeks to hire an experienced ezPublish web designer/developer to support the firm with graphic design and templating work for our website overhaul, through an open and freely competitive process. The overhauled website will use the ezPublish Content Management System version 3.2 (http://www.ez.no) for its flexibility and opportunity for customization. You will be working closely with the firm’s IT Manager, who is proficient in web development using PHP and MySQL, but does not have sufficient time to devote to templating, graphics, and design. The firm provides legal and technical services to community planning groups and homeless service providers. Content on the site will include:
* detailed technical assistance materials;
* community forums;
* publications database;
* policy briefs;
* information on the firm, its employees, and services;
* online conference registration and materials; * online donation mechanism. The firm’s staff will generate and enter all content for the site, develop functional customizations to ezPublish needed to provide the above listed content, and work with the successful candidate to develop overall site design, branding, etc. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing custom templates controlling design and layout of the site, generating graphics, and developing any custom scripts as needed to implement the design. Candidates will be judged on their portfolio of ezPublish design work, capacity to complete the project, immediate availability to work towards a tight deadline, and quoted price. Preference will be given to firms/individuals located in or around the San Francisco Bay Area. Women and minority candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. To apply, please email [email protected] with your resume or firm description, portfolio of ezPublish design work (links to completed websites), 3 professional references, and compensation requirements.
