I have read the following from ez docum.

"Installation
ezFind extension requires the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version 5. (JRE version 6 is
unstable with eZ Find). "

I am using ez version ezpublish-4.3.0-with_ezc-gpl. It contain EzFind already.

Which java verison should I use version 5 or version 6.

Hello,

"

The extension requires the Sun supplied Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version 5 for Linux and 6 for Windows, Mac OC and Solaris.

While I install ezFind, can I add table from phpmyadmin interface instead of doing it from command prompt.

Suppose I am doing it from cmd , I need to put the table name .

But

In manual I seen like below.I didn't get it how to put the table name . Can anyone tell me what is the importance of adding username for this table. Any help will be thankfull

mysql -u <user> -p <database_name> < extension/ezfind/sql/<database>/<databse>.sql

Please post ez find related questions in the appropriate forum:

Btw, you better use a recent release of Java 6 already, from eZ Find 2.3/eZPubish 4.4 ( aka Fuji), its the minimum requirement for all platforms. The mentioned Java 5 for Linux isn't valid with any modern Linux kernel, just for those who choose to use an ancient RHEL .....
