eZ v3.1 will it contain link management

eZ team,

Will eZ 3.1 contain link management that can be configured to work with nice urls?
i.e. ez.no/release -> ez.no/project/3/news/release

This will ensure that short and constant links can be guaranteed.

Not exactly what you asked, but Apache's mod_rewrite could be used til ezpublish got the functionality.

Yep, but i'd prefer not to mix client functionality with operational services. If i change apache, I need to stop and start apache which can only be done at certain times on an operation box.

Granted, it's easier to use ezpublish to do it.

But you don't need to stop Apache. apachectl graceful will reload the config on the fly, no pending requests will get dropped.
