Dummy site again.

Ok, so I have duplicated my database and given it a new name. Now if I unpack eZ publish 3.4.0 in a new directory and run a new install, but use the database without removing any data. Then I'd get everything except my design templates and stuff, right? So that could be a way of getting a dummy as well. Does that sound like a viable solution? best regards trondåge trondåge

Trond Åge Kvalø	Thursday 17 June 2004 1:47:38 am Thanks Alex! The fact that I've been unable to complete this seemingly trivial task has been annoying me for quite some time now. But this is good news, and I'll try this right away :-) One more question, though. The site I've copied was successfully upgraded to 3.3-5 a few weeks ago. Does anyone know if there any known database problems when I install 3.4-0 on top of 3.3-5 and tell the setup wizard to keep the data? best regards trondåge trondåge
Paul Forsyth	Thursday 17 June 2004 1:58:51 am I normally run the upgrades manually, it helps with my sanity :) I dont believe the setup routine upgrades the db. Though i may be wrong on this. You could have a quick look at the db to see whether any db fields have changed to the settings in this file: update/database/mysql/3.4/dbupdate-3.3-5-to-3.4.0.sql If they havent then appy the update manually. paul -- http://www.visionwt.com
