Again efficiency problem

Hi,
I'm writing a post seeking reassurance that i'm doing everything ok. I and my friend created a site http://www.ggmedia.pl
and i'm starting to lose ideas what's wrong with it. When I enabled debug I've noticed that template process takes over 4 seconds (with viewing cache enabled), however when I'm navigating through www.ez.no site it works very fine (there isn't any noticeable delay).
Any clues are very welcomed, thank you
Pawel

Can you give some details on the machine used (RAM/CPU/disk types). It appears that you do not have top notch hardware or a slow link

Do a search on cache block in the forum. I think using cache blocks in the right places increases performance significantly. Also, do you have PHP accelerator or the like installed?

You're right Paul we aren't using very efficient machine, it's Pentium II 366 with 392MB RAM and 8 GB disk, but I've noticed that on my home computer (Celeron 900MHz, 392MB RAM, 15GB HDD) performance is pretty much the same. We also use PHP Accelerator.

Another idea. Do you have process cache enabled? See

Thank you Karsten for your advice. Cache-block improves performace a lot. Of course you need to handle cache clearing if the content changes, but I don't see better solution for now.

Hi Paul,

Cache blocks will update the cache if your content changes, so as long as they are used in correctly.

Try these links http://ez.no/developer/ez_publish_3/forum/setup_design/implementing_caching_cacheblock_questions
