Hi,
the longer I work with ez3 the more I dislike the "ini-file-system".
I don't know (and I don't want to know it) how many ini-files I have on my system.
So, why are they needed? We have nice databases, so why not putting the ini-settings completely in the database and make an "ini-Manager"?
There could be many advantages. One "small" advantage: You can't make typos if a special value is needed.
... just an idea ...
Kind regards,Emil.
Best wishes, Georg. -- http://www.schicksal.com Horoskop website which uses eZ Publish since 2004

3.3 includes the ini datatype, which allows you to modify ini settings through eZ publish. That will help.
I agree that having settings in the database would be great in many cases. A system that supports both would be even better.
