First off, thanks for providing the sig ability! Please remove the double dash that is prepended to the signature in the forums. While I understand the idea is useful for e-mail clients, allowing the user to subdue the signature text, it doesn't make much sense in the context of the forums, nor does it add any value as far as I can see.

Thanks again for making improvements to the community site!

Alex is right!

Please remove the --
And please don't insert line breaks between forum message and signature.
Let the user decide if they want a line break (I don't) by allowing users to add
an empty line break in their signature if they so choose before their handle / sig text.

Love the improvements, please keep them coming . . .

kracker is right!

What about adding some user web site url text lines (user preference) that displays 1 - 3 project / web linked text lines in the bottom / lower right hand corner of the user information sidebar (currently empty space) instead of littering our message bodies / signatures with urls for each posts.

As it stands now they kind of leaves a messy trail behind each post that builds up when reading forum threads / posts.

Hrrrm, while it is good that the dashes are gone, I am seeing an odd problem. If you look at my above post, you will see a lot of space between the end of my message and my sig. I specifically made sure to eliminate carriage returns at the end of my post and the beginning of my sig, so I don't know why it is showing up...

Alex,

Something tells me it's because of the picture under your name. The right side is bigger than your actual post, so everything's strected out. And the sig is probably forced to be at the bottom of the left side.

It's the right side that is making your forum message this long. The signature will be at the bottom of the table row and not at the bottom of the content of your message.

Ahhh, that is obvious! Thanks.

Out of curiosity, why is an entire new row used for this instead of appending it to the end of the content?

We thought it would give a cleaner and better look. Other than that, no reason :)
