Hi,If a user is placed in more user groups than one, does he automatically inherit the roles that is attached to all the user groups? Or only the roles that is attached to the user group of the main node of the user?

This is indeed a way you can provide additional roles and policies to a user! Just add locations of that object (user) to place them in additional user groups.
