Simple task; no sollution yet.

I have an article class with the following fields, (for debugging)

Att: "xml_block" Type="XML-block"
Att: "body" Type="Text-block"

Now, i have filled them with the same content from a vietnamese newspaper.

This is how i output them in the full template:

<h1>THE CONTENT IN AN XML-BLOCK</h1>
{attribute_view_gui attribute=$node.data_map.xml_block}
<h1>THE SAME CONTENT IN A TEXT BLOCK</h1>
{$node.data_map.body.content}

Im sensing some hope here: Though our database version dont support utf-8 (working on it)this is not a problem when using a text-block so i guess it is a config-error. Off course i would like to use the xml-block as the data-type.

Any ideas will be appreciated.

Hi again, fortunatly this is not a problem anymore since im running an upgraded mysql-version with utf-8 support.

But the problem at hand; Text-block worked | XML block didnt, yet remains a problem, in the old setting:

Was running on:
ez-version: 3.9.3.
PHP: 4.4.2-1
MYSQL: 4.0.24 (no utf-8 support)

Changed this to
ez-version: 3.9.3.
PHP: 4.4.2
MYSQL: 4.1.18

Guess ive learned a few things about charsets:-)

Thanks for the reply, anyway.
