hi all
i'm creating a site based on the ez Publish 3.1.1 "corporate" template on windows 2000.
all work fine but when i access the site with a internet explorer 6.x browser the folder (or info_page, ecc) title is displayed a lot of pixels under the main menu. i thought it a bug of ezpublish, but i've seen that, accessing the site through mozilla or i.e. 5.x it is displayed correctly. is it a template bug?

thanks a lot
alessandro

This might be an IE bug (doesn't render CSS correctly) - we're looking into this phenomenon. It has also been reported as a bug.

thanx for the answer.
otherwise i've visited other sites made with ezPublish that worked fine (without shifting down any content). is it a problem of the corporate template? should i change something in order to view my site correctly?
this is an enormous problem...

thanks a lot

Well, if I'm not mistaken then this is a CSS problem. Try to tweak the CSS that belongs to the corporate package and see if you can track down / eliminate it. We'll of course fix this annoying thing for the next release.

i don't know what kind of error it is... but now i'm running the 3.1_2 and it works fine, without placing the info page (folder etc) title and content after a big blank space

i'll wait for the next release! when is it scheduled?

thanks

Hello!

Setting up my shop I found the same problem in the blue shop design.
Mozilla and Opera and IE under 6.x display it perfectly fine, only IE6 doesn't seem to work with it.
if anyone knows how to fix that please let me know.

I don't have those templates installed, but if someone wants to post a URL that I can look at, I would be happy to try to solve the CSS issue. :)

If you don't want to post a URL, feel free to drop me an e-mail at alexj [at] agrussell [dot] com.

I realized the demos on ez.no site included the corporate template so I gave the CSS a quick look. The problem appears to be the ID 'innercontent' in core.css. Try changing the following:

div#innercontent
{
display: table; /* This style is needed as a fix for an Opera "bug" */
width: 100%;
}

to:

div#innercontent
{
display: table; /* This style is needed as a fix for an Opera "bug" */
width: 98%;
}

Changing the width to 98% from 100% helps to get around the difference in the way browsers apply margin and padding to boxes. A difference of 2% is small enough that it will not be very noticable.

Alternately, you might be able to remove the width line altogether, but I am not sure how that will affect other browsers as I haven't had much time to test that.

hi all
i re-installed the beta version and saw that there was no problem with it. i tried to change everything, and i think that the problem is the pagelayout.tpl! the beta version with the "stable" pagelayout has the same problem, while the sable versio with the beta pagelayout works perfectly!!! so i overwrited the pagelayout file and now it works fine

I guess this was not a fix to my problem. My problem is similar to the one discribed here:

http://ez.no/community/forum/install_configuration/layout_problem

check out gracebaptistfellowship DOT net/ez in IE to see the problem.

Matt, did you try implementing the fix I listed above? It should do the trick.

here is what I did. Please tell me if I forgot something.

1) copied the info from http://pubsvn.ez.no/nextgen/stable/3.3/design/corporate/stylesheets/corporate-green.css.
2) Replaced 4 corporate-green.css files on my host. (1 in design directory, 1 in var directory, and 2 in kernal directory)
3) login to admin and clear all caches.

The welcome text is still on the bottom of the page in internet explorer. Any other ideas?

Hello!

The shop styles seem to have the same problem, could someone please fix them as well?

Thx,

I have found that this problem still exists on the Macintosh version of Internet Explorer. It affects the ez.no site as well. Basically the toolbars display from top to bottom instead of from left to right.

It's definitely a CSS problem but I haven't tracked it down yet. Thought I'd let you know as I'm sure there lots of Mac users out their looking at the ez site as well as sites built using it.
