Hi there

I am a bit confused about the way currencies work. I have a site with a french, english and russian siteaccess, but the prices should always be displayed in US Dollar. The problem is that every siteaccess uses the siteaccess specific language symbol.

I have created a currency for US Dollar and set the preferred currency to this currency, but this did not change anything.

The only workaround I can see is to change the ini files in the /share/locale folder, which I would rather not do.

So is there a way to override the currency settings?

Thanks

Claudia

Bump...

Is that really not possible?

I just want to use the same currency no matter the current language without having to type the currency symbol in the template or (hopefully) without changing the language specific locale.ini in the share folder.

Thanks

Claudia

It might be looking nuts but... I'm using the multiprice product and setup only one currency....

Hi

This works fine for products. But if I have to display static prices (e.g. shipping info) and use l10n('currency') I still get the local currency, not the preferred currency :-(

Well, looks like I have to stick with changing the locale.ini files then.
