index.php/fre/notre-offre/votre-secteur-d-activite/banque-finance

and URL that are not well formed :
index.php/fre/content/view/full/940

I have this problem in front and back office.

Do you have any idea?

Thanks.

Hi,
can you show use your code please?
how do you put the link in your template?
in which case you have this :

index.php/fre/notre-offre/votre-secteur-d-activite/banque-finance

and in which case you have this:

index.php/fre/content/view/full/940

The theory is when we know everything and nothing works.
The practice is when everything works and nobody knows why.
If the practice and theory are met, nothing works and we do not know why.

Depending on your version of eZ Publish, this might be known eZ multilingual url_alias bug, did you try to run updateniceurls.php?

Aurélie: what version are you using? this should be fixed in 4.0.1 and some more fixes in 4.0.2, if you have 3.10.0 / 4.0.0 / 4.0.1, turn on debugOutput or look in error.log and you'll see something like 'url alias does not exist' ... 'run updateniceurls.php to fix the problem' (so search for 'updateniceurls.php' in your log files in var/log/), this indicates that you are hit by the bug.

My version is 4.0.3.

When I look into the error.log file I have errors :

eZContentObjectTreeNode::pathWithNames() failed to fetch path of node 1949, falling back to generated url entries. Run updateniceurls.php to fix the problem.

But I tried to run this script and there was no effect...

Is it a upgrade from earlier versions?
Witch extensions do you use on the site?

Hi,
I am running a 4.01 installation and the customer has just started using the multilanguage-feature by adding english language translations to a swedish site.

Now fatal errors start to occur when publishing a certain node.
We get:
----
Fatal error: A database transaction in eZ Publish failed.

The current execution was stopped to prevent further problems.
You should contact the System Administrator of this site with the information on this page.
The current transaction ID is TRANSID-d3a2f229372a33307ece5a28e59c33be and has been logged.
Please include the transaction ID and the current URL when contacting the system administrator.

When looking in the error.log, I notice this:

[ Sep 24 2009 10:56:08 ] [195.198.17.59] :
The parent ID 28 of element with ID 671 does not point to the last entry which had ID 574, incorrect path would be calculated, aborting
[ Sep 24 2009 10:56:08 ] [195.198.17.59] :
eZContentObjectTreeNode::pathWithNames() failed to fetch path of node 3308, falling back to generated url entries. Run updateniceurls.php to fix the problem.

...and so on...

Andre - you mention in this thread that this is a bug in the system, but you dont provide a solution. Is it the solution mentioned by Ivo Lukac - http://issues.ez.no/12469 - that I should use, or are there more necessary measues that I need to take to get rid of this problem?

Best regards,
/Nicklas
