Problem with EzForum and cache

Hello,

I know the problem has already been mentionned but I can't found a good response...

So, that is the problem :

I use the EzForum and Exponential 3.5.1, I want to know why when I post a new topic or a new response, the number of topics of the forum or the number of response of the topic is not updated ?

Is it because I haven't set up some cron sripts ?
Is it because my cache is badly setup ?
In that case, what are the ini settings which I need to modify ?
Could I disable the cache only for the forum and keep it for the whole site ?

Reading the documentation I understand the the cache works this way :
When a node is created or updated, the children nodes and the parents one are updated, so that just some cache pages are deleted...
Is taht right ? And if it is, why this system doesn't work for my site ?

Hi Pierre

I suspect that the issue may be to do with SmartCacheClear in viewcache.ini. Settings in this file control the removal of cached views of objects associated with the one being edited.

and check your copies of viewcache.ini.
