How can I make popup windows in eZ publish. Do I have to use java scripts. basically, I need to show the poll results in separate popup menu.

When the user vote, I don't want the result to show in the main page. I want the result to appear in a separate window.

Thanx

Just adding

target="_blank"

to the 'Result' link in the design/<siteaccess>/override/template/full/poll.tpl template will pop the results up in a template. But I'm not sure how you would have a pop up triggered when you click on the 'Vote' button.

The pop up will be the same page as you currently when you click that link with all the menus. If you wanted a more stripped down page with just the results on, you will need to work out an override that will trigger on the results and then make a minimal page layout template for it.

Hi. I understand about _blank to open a new, full size page. My question is this: How do I get the _blank to be a specific size (say 500 X 150)? I would also like info on the various inclusions to a new window such as scrollbars=no and such.

Thank you.

Robert,
That is presentation layer issue that is rather platform (eZ Publish) independent. Google 'javascript+open+window+popup' for details.
Cheers,
