I have a small problem with site! After to have formatted the machine on which it turned the site I have copied the Db the pages and I have given the permissions to the customer of Apache (chown -R wwwrun.www .....). Hour the site works correctly but it does not allow me to modify the template ones or to create some of new because it says that the customer of Apache does not have the writing permissions! But I glie give it to it!

Hi Daniele, from a unix point of view, it sounds like the file permissions are still wrong. Things to check: the actual webuser from the apache httpd.conf file. Make sure that the user in there is actually wwwrun. also go into the design/site_name/override/templates directory and check the files in there to make sure they are the right permissions. Test the permissions by becoming the user and creating a file. eg "su - wwwrun" and "touch foo"Also check your apache logs, the error log may tell you whats wrong.

ez:The server web does not have the permissions of writing for the template ones demanded.
if i send command chown -R wwwrun.www new_path.tpl or chown wwwrun.www new_path.tpl the result is:
dir:-r--rwxrwx 1 wwwrun www 870 2005-07-02 11:55 new_path.tpl
Apache user is wwwrun group www! :| Help me!

Are you sure this is the right user ? I dont know much about this, but on the server I'm working on, by setting the rights to www-data, it works fine.
