Well I don't know how else to put it. The title says it all. When I edit an article and try to click on the paper clip to add an object and select "existing" I am presented with only items in the site folder tree, nothing from the backside is offered. How do I access these assets when working wit an article? I have flv files that have been uploaded into the media library. I would like to use these in articles. I have searched the forum, but all answers were out of date and not helpful in this regard.
Right this second I am wondering what the point of the media library is. It seems like the functionality is missing to take advantage of it.
Thanks!
I am new to ez publish so I appreciate any insight if I am taking the workflow the wrong way :)

What version are you using? The steps should be:
1. Click the paperclip 2. Click "Add existing" 3. There should be a little "up" arrow just above the "10 25 50" and to the left of the blank page icon and the word "Home". Click it.4. Click "Media"

Thanks! I knew it had to be something goofy. :)

I think maybe the up directory arrow should be a different color to offset it. It blends right in and you don't really see it there unless you know to look.
In relation to that. i have my object embedded via paper clip. But instead of embedding it creates a link to the media and links it to another page (flv) any ideas on how to actually make this embed rather than link to anther page?
Thanks for your super fast help Greg! :)

Hi R
You can use the view parameter when embedding other objects to choose in which view mode they will be displayed, see: http://ez.no/doc/ez_publish/technical_manual/3_9/reference/xml_tags#object_embedding. (please don't take into account the link that's currently under the text "view" in the description column of the "view" parameter, it is wrong in this context, I'll contact the doc team to fix this: http://issues.ez.no/11250 ).

I add all the folder under media library to my bookmarks. This way when I add an existing object i dont have to browse using up arrow as bookmarks appear on the screen above the sub tree.
