Hi Brian,

You need to switch to VirtualHost and configure your site.ini[siteaccesssettings] likje :

MatchOrder=host
HostMatchType=map
HostMatchMapItems[]=mydomain.com;eng

Ok, I tried it all out, I already tried those things initially, and it told me that, one of the settings couldn't be set to an empty value. Next I tried what you showed me, and cleared the cache and it still didn't work. Is there something i am doing wrong. I am using version 3.9.2?

Hi Brian

You probably have to add also some part to you eng siteaccess site.ini file:

[SiteAccessSettings]
...
PathPrefix=eng

This should remove "/eng" from your URLs.

After trying to modify what was suggested, I just screwed up something in the site, where my modules arent showing I have cleared the cache and this still doesn't fix the problem of which I just created.

DOES ANYONE HERE KNOW HOW TO DO THIS ON 3.9.2???reliably, not guessing, because I hate looking for info, and then I feel like I am crazy when I can't find it, only to realize that there may have been some misunderstanding, or misinformation.

You would be wise to keep a backup of the last best working copy of your site.

Some recommend setting up an automated backup of everything every 30min or greater when doing active development on your production site ...

I think the problem is not what was suggested perhaps rather your understanding of the actual problem.

Many could answer yes to your shouting but it would serve you no more than sympathy the problem remains is you don't.

It is disappointing that your frustrated but this is most commonly little more than a settings configuration problem for those who have not used the hostmatchmapitems correctly

If you understand you don't know (<i>yet</i>) how to understand the problem which afflicts you, why not consider purchasing support.

In an hour's time you very well could not only have a solution to your problem but a greater understanding of eZ Publish as enlightened by the vendor (which is even more helpful).

Even we have purchased support from eZ systems! Because at some point we all need a little light in this life to show us the way, more clearly without so much open to interpretation.

<i>I value your use of eZ and will do my best to address your concerns to the powers that be (meaning I'll say a prayer for you)</i>

Heath
