I have created my own separate site-access and DB which is running well.

I am wanting to add some static info to the front page of my Ezpublish site.
It looks like I have two choices.

1. To use the "web-editor" GUI to create something based on tables, which looks pretty limiting, as far as adding decoration goes.

2. To embed an object which is already existing as they have done in the standard front page examples, or to create an object to embed.

Option 1.
If I use option ,1 the number of "classes" I can call on to decorate my table are limited:
- None
- List
- Timetable
- Comparison Table
- Default

Can I create my own "classes"?
Where would they live?
How do I make the system know where they live?

Option 2.
Where can I find documentation on how to create an object that allows me to reference my added CSS styes?

The kind of object I am imagining is a three or four vertical columns with separate borders, with header, body and link text in a bulleted list.
The links would not need to be dynamic at all.

Is there any documentation on this kind of thing?

I would have thought this was a fairy standard request given that not many people are going to stick with the Lyon template!
