Dear All,

I have just installed the corporate version of ezpublish and chose to install all of its components (e.g. polls, weblog, media etc...).

What I would like to do is to temporarily deactivate some of these components and activate them later if I wish to. e.g. I may wish to deactivate the 'polls' component and bring it back on line if it is needed in the future.

I have tried to discover a way of doing this without actually removing the component. I suppose I could remove the links but it seems that ezpublish has so many options that there should be some more elegant way of doing this.

Your advice would be very appreciated.

Andrew

Hi Andrew,

You can use hide/unhide functionality. If you hide object it will unaccessable in public view but you can work with it in admin area.

Wow - you are so fast Lukasz

Hide/unhide is exactly what I was looking for but cannot seem to find it in the web interface. Any clues?

Thanks

Sure, left click on the folder icon in content structure or in central part. Then from popup menu choose Advanced->Hide/Unhide. I hope it will help.

Great - yes it did help. I also dicovered in the last few minutes that clicing on the location menu at the top of the page displays a link where you can hide or reveal the component.

Thanks again
Andrew
