Hello, I understood (after some trouble) that a user of a forum must have BOTH the create and edit permission to write a new post or a new thread, but acting like this I can't separate the writing of a new post from the editing of an already written post. I mean we don't want to let the user the possibility to edit a post (or not yet), but I can't just take away the edit button code because we want to make the option available for the administrators.I don't know if I managed to be clear (it's a hard sunday), can you help me to solve this problem?

You can create 2 different roles for your admins and other uses. Give the admins edit permissions and dont give it to the normal users.

I know I can create 2 different roles but if I don't give the edit permission to the normal users they can't write anything, the create permission is not enough alone, but I give them also the edit permission after the can also edit their post (an I don't want this).

You can also force the version to be the first.

So I can prevent the user to edit his post by forcing the version, but how can I do this?
