Transferring my old site (maybe 200 pages of plain old HTML, with a smattering of PHP and SSIs) to an ezPublish site promises to be an ardous task. Logically, the way to do a lot of it would be to import it directly into the database (something I did once with great sucess with a PHPNuke site). Any experience, advice or pointers? Secondly, this may work well for articles, but for binary files and images there may not be such an easy way. Ideas about that?

Thanks

I would recommend you search the forum for 'import' as there are several threads covering the topic. Also, a while back I posted some information regarding an import script. Check out http://www.ez.no/community/forum/developer/importing_update_entry_if_it_already_exists for more information

It is possible to attach images as well. Check out http://ez.no/community/forum/developer/import_image_into_existing_class
