It seems that those are just custom content in folders called 'forums' and 'links'. Articles with certain attributes presented with a dedicated template. Am I right? If so, why aren't such basic functionality presented in the docs? Or hidden so well. And shouldn't the standard distro contain such classes? Are there even more open doors that I don't see? Can I make a poll, a banner ad, bug report handling, to-do lists, quiz as easy?

Hi,

Without changing code (only creating new templates) you can make banner ad, bug report handling and to-do lists. Polls and quiz could need some php code (ez3 crew, if not explain me how please)
