Why is sup an unsupported tag?

running ez3.6 on a LAMP insall.

When I try to include sup tags in my documents I receive the following error:
* Unsupported tag sup(removed)

When I check the ezxmltags folder I see there is a sup.tpl file which I assumed would allow this tag. I also see sup listed under the custom tags in the online editor. Also when I paste text within the sup tags it is rendered nicely by the online editor.

Despite all of this the tags are still removed whenever I go to publish with or without the online editor enabled. What settings can I change to allow these tags to stay in the document?

I have a support request in to ezpublish to allow this tag. Hopefully when they are done it will be included in all future releases.

Hi James,

 and is currently supported as custom tag. Look in to content.ini file.

We will look closer into this problem soon ...

Luke, I would say you are using the term "supported" a little losely. If I create a document with sup tags already in it they will be stripped by ezpublish. This is less than desireable. I have paid for the support call and have received the files necessary to get sup tags working. I was dismayed however to find that the code I paid for will not be merged into the next version of ezpublish. This is very diappointing and I hope ezpublish will reconsider including this code.

James,

Would you consider posting the code / information you received to the community as a contribution?

This is in my opinion just about the next best way to making this feature available to the rest of the community without them having to pay for the support call again...

Sure thing Kracker,

I'm just concerned that this code will be broken by the next ezpublish update. But it works for now.
