Hello, during installation I get the following Error-Message: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Error Retrieving remote site packages list failed. You may upload packages manually. Remote repository URL: /4.4/4.4.0/ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- htdocs/var/log/error.log says: eZINI::variable: Undefined group: 'RepositorySettings' in package.ini Any ideas? I do not have a proxy and curl-extension is active. Thanks, Alex

There was some server issues recently (yesterday and the day before) which probably was the cause of this, try to click back and next again or re load the setup wizard and try again.

I have tried it today, also restarted it several times. Always the same error, although I can access http://packages.ez.no/ezpublish/4.4/4.4.0/ from the server without any problems.

ok, not sure what you have issues with then, as RepositorySettings is very much defined in default settings/package.ini settings. Corruption or modification on install files?

I've extracted the original .tar.gz several times, so no modification and there shouldn't be any corruption, because then tar/gunzip wouldn't be able to extract it.
Strange ... I'll file an issue-report.

Did you get any warnings when running "finetune" on first step?

Hello,
A little known tip. You can manually download the packages into the packages directory.
Then re-run setup and the packages manually downloaded should be installed.
I've used this trick when the setup wizzard would not download the packages properly (in the past).
Cheers,

Qa got the same error when trying to install on RHEL6 now, so it's looked at, but not sure what happens. What we do know is that it seems to be distro specific, and you can work around it by compiling php your self(not the solution of course, it's just the fact we know right now).
Edit: In our case it was missing mb_string extension, make sure you have that and don't check the "ignore this" option during first step of setup wizard.

If mb_string is required for installation the the setup wizard should make that clear, and not create the illusion that its a optional Feature
