Hi all!

I'm trying to move a site to a customers server. For some reason there is a problem with the url. On my server it works like this:

<i>mydomain.no -> frontpage user</i>
<i>mydomain.no/av -> fronpage user</i>
<i>mydomain.no/pub -> to the local pub.. NO, admin</i>

On the new server the second and third variant only works like this:

<i>mydomain.no/index.php/av</i>
<i>mydomain.no/index.php/pub</i>

Maybe it should be mentioned that

<i>mydomain.no/index.php</i>

returns a module not found error..

How can I "get rid of" the index.php part?

Hi Felix,

Use Virtual Host configuration for eZ publish, VH is recommended for eZ publish installation.

http://ez.no/ez_publish/documentation/installation/virtual_host_setup

or alternatively

http://ez.no/ez_publish/documentation/configuration/security/non_virtualhost

Personal website -> http://serwatka.net
Blog (about eZ Publish) -> http://serwatka.net/blog

Hi Luke!

The funny thing is that i DID use vh..

Felix

PS! To finish the project on schedule, I rewrote a few templates to ensure that it was independent from the vh/standalone issue.

Felix,

There are two key questions right off the top. Are you having problem loading your user site virtual host (ie: /) properly <i>or</i> with the urls eZ publish generates being not quite correct?

You might like to take a look at this thread which talks about these issues and requirements a bit.

http://www.ez.no/community/forum/install_configuration/siteaccesssettings_and_forcevirtualhost_configuration

It might also help us to more quickly trouble shoot your situation if we knew your full apache vhost / .htaccess configuration, override/site.ini.append.php and that your using ezroot (url) operator in your templates instead of ezurl.
