Is there any way in 3 to set a folder to sort by your own date field, or any other user defined field for that matter? It is a pretty standard publishing requirement that you can have your own 'news date' field that you can change manually. Alternatively if one made the Published field editable, in the article editing template, would that stuff up the versioning? I'm guessing there is a reason it's not there already. Can anyone shed any light on this?Richard.

Editing the real publish date is not an option since it's important to know the last time it was published(loosing information is not good). However once we get support for sorting on attributes it should be possible to add an attribute called publish date an enter the date manually there.
