I have recently installed Ezpublisher. My hosting provider is Dreamhost. The entire set up is running very very slowly. Anytime you load a page it is taking anywhere from 1 -3 minutes to begin loading a page. I am guessing this is a configuration setting,I'm not sure. Can anyone direct me with any information at all on how to overcome this?

It's hard to even test the system out running this slow. Click a link - grab coffee - click another link - go for a walk. heh, yeah almost that bad.

Umm, specs. good question. I'll have to research that. I am on a shared hosting plan with plenty of bandwidth/disk space on a Unix server with the latest updates of PHP, Apache and MySQL. The domain is set to run PHP as CGI.

I've been hosting with Dreamhost for several years now and have played with all majore CMS setups - Drupal, Mambo... you name it. I've tried and have never had an issue like this.

It's very strange. The page waits a few minutes to even begin loading almost like it is searching for the page. Once it begins loading it is done in a flash.

PHP CGI is gonna be sloooooooooow with ez. You can effectively use byte code caching (eaccellerator) there and without it, things will creep.
