Premature end of script headers: index.php

I have been trying to install ezpublish for two days now and am strongly thinking of going back to Drupal
I want to have it installed on my webhost. Linux, PHP 4.4.0 and MySQL 4.1.11.
I downloaded the tar file and waited while it took hours to transfer the files to my webserver.
OK – then I got the error EZSW-040 and -051.
Looked in the Forum found the advise about extensions.
Downloaded zip-file and unzipped. Looked through all the folders and switched those with wrong extensions to right ones.
OK – then I got the errors EZSW – 004 plus another one.
Dropped all the tables in the database.
Got the same error
Deleted all eZ-files and dropped all the tables again.
Transferred (more hours!) the unzipped files.
Now I get another error.
When I press the last button before everything should be finished I get en Error 500 and the following message:
Premature end of script headers: index.php (tables in database were created)

I can not find anything about this in the forum.

Help anyone??
