php - secure mode

Markus Bader	Saturday 13 January 2007 4:32:05 am Hello. During the installation eZ publish asks for deactivation of the php secure mode. I do not want to deactivate it. What happens if I would ignore and not change this issue? Does eZ publish still work? Thank you. Markus Bader

Michael Maclean	Tuesday 16 January 2007 1:43:33 am It is far better to have safe mode disabled, but I have managed to run eZ publish successfully on a machine that has it enabled by also enabling safe_mode_gid, which relaxes the file ownership check to a group ownership one.
