Override template disappears

Hello,

I'm using eZ 4.0.1. I have the strangest problem, and I guess it is somehow related with me beeing new in configuring it. There is probably an config option that should be changed but I was yet unable to find it.

When I create an override in the appropriate override.ini, and in the template section of the admin site, it first appears within the list of other overrides, but when I reload the web page of the site, and check the override list again, it simply disappears. There are no error messages in the log, the site runs as if nothing has happened, and the web page of course displays the original template, not the one that I have created.

The interesting thing is that the template file is created within the file system, but when I try to edit it using the admin page, it responds with an error that the file doesn't exist.

I have tried to clear the cache, and to change the ownership and user rights on the files, but to no avail. The funny thing is that the guy from whom I have inherited the site has managed to override templates, but I'm unable to contact him to find out how did he do it.

I'm still inexperienced with eZ, so if anyone could please help me with this problem?

Just remove or delete any cache folder in /var... it seems cache system we have to explore again...
