Online Editor, Windows 2k, IE6 - Office setup launches?

This has been verified on 3 PCs... it also occurs using the OE demos on this web site:

The systems have Windows 2k, IE6, MS Office 2k, with all updates. Upon first accessing an eZ 3.3 page with OE installed, the MS Office installer tries to run within IE6. Of course it gives no indication WHY it is running or what it is trying to do. I made sure that .js files were associated with IE and disabled install on demand in IE - no difference.

If the installer is cancelled (it normally has to be cancelled 4 times) then the page with OE in it displays perfectly and all seems to work fine. The Office installer does not run again, unless IE is restarted.

Has anyone figured out what's causing this? A way to prevent it from happening (from the server side would be really nice!)?

I have experienced this as well. Very embarassing on a users machine during product demo. Someone should be tracking this problem.

Can't vouch for this as it's not a problem in linux ;)
