When the setup wizard finishes it shows a page with links to the newly setup site and to the admin site. Trying to follow these links gives me "The page cannot be displayed" error pages. I tried several installations from scratch and I tried a lot of tweeking of httpd.conf, .htaccess etc but nothing helped, until I finally tried to install with English as the standard language. Then everything worked perfectly. Originally I had choosen Norwegian Bokmål as standard language. I have tried the installation from scratch about 10 times now, and here is what I have found: If during setup wizard I keep the default choice of English language, then the site works fine. If however I choose Norwegian language, then nothing works at all.
I have also tried to install with English and then change this to Norwegian afterwords by editing the different site.ini.append files, as described in:
http://www.ez.no/index.php/developer/ez_publish_3/documentation/configuration/configuration/language_and_charset/installing_a_language_pack (This document relates to german, so I used nor-NO insted of ger-DE) However I am still getting english language on the site, while some of the text on the admin site have now turned Norwegian (but not the menus). Do anybody have a tip about how to sucessfully install in Norwegian language?
System information:
- Linux (Debian woody) 2.4.20-6um #1
- PHP 4.1.2
- Apache 1.3.26 (I have root access but have set up a separate virtualhost for the eZ installation. Still the setup wizard claimed I am running in "non virtualhost mode".) Any imput apreciated.
