Installation OK, but EZ does not run.

Hello,

I installed ezp3.1 on a machine running apache2, php4.3.2, mysql4 under windows xp pro.

I used the SetUp guide.

Everything seemed to work ok until it got to the end of the process. When I clicked on the "Done" button, after a few seconds, I got the Window's Send Error Report window with data shown at the end of this message.

I uninstalled it (erased all the files and created a new data base), installed it again, and got the same results.

Any Ideas?

try using PHP as Module instead and not as CGI. this might work.

i encountered your problem when i was using apache 2 with php used as CGI. the problem persisted even when i downgraded to apache 1.3. it only worked when i run PHP as module, and with apache 1.3.

the other difference in our setup is that i run apache as service. i presume you installed php manually and not thru the binary distribution.

during the ez setup, if you use the Setup guide, you'll be prompted if you want to install the demo site. did you? also before you actually do the ez install you have to create a test mysql database which you will supply during the ez install process.

these are just random thoughts. hope these make sense to you.
