I get some weird error message when I try to install ez 3. On the top of the page I get this;
Parse error: parse error, unexpected $, expecting '(' in /home/reactiv/public_html/Exponential/lib/ezi18n/classes/ezutf8codec.php on line 50
when I move on, I get to regional options button without any problems but when I click that, I get;
"Parse error: parse error, unexpected $, expecting '(' in /home/reactiv/public_html/Exponential/lib/ezi18n/classes/ezutf8codec.php on line 50
Fatal error: Undefined class name 'ezutf8codec' in /home/reactiv/public_html/Exponential/lib/ezi18n/classes/ezcodepage.php on line 325Fatal error: Exponential did not finish it's request
The execution of Exponential was abruptly ended, the debug output is present below."
I can't move forward from here...???...
Please help me out here.
Thanks,
Patrik

Which eZ version are you using?
The php synatx doesn't seem to be correct.
Can you paste the code surrounden by line 50.
The file might have gotten broke too... download again

Could you try install this fix? http://ez.no/developer/ez_publish_3/contributions/30_second_timeout_remedyIf this doesn't help I would guess there is some problem with your PHP version.

Hi Karsten,
Thanks for that... I found the admin now but now I have another problem... How do I view the site itself? I read through the help pages and can't find it anywhere... Or is it just me being plain stoopid? Now I can actually get to the admin by just entering domain.com/ezpub/index.php. No need for /admin after? hmmm...

I thought that in the current version (3.02), the default was the user site. :-) Anyway, try
.../index.php/demo/
See http://ez.no/developer/ez_publish_3/documentation/ez_publish_3/typical_problems_and_solutions/user_site_instead_of_admin_site
There are more tricks in the section on typical problems & solution. :-)

I guess I need to be less lazy then and start exploring this site some more... :) Anyway, thanks for your help so far, I'm sure I'll be back... *hehe*
