How to install EzIntranet?

Hi!

I'm trying to install eZ Intranet (http://ez.no/community/contribs/solutions/ez_intranet ) on my laptop, for evaluation purpose. I have done following:

1. Installed Apache 1.3.35, MySQL 5.0.11 (with old password enabled to make it speak with PHP 4.3.11)

2. Downloaded eZ Publish 3.7.6, and unzipped all files under htdocs directory
3. Downloaded eZ_intranet, and unzipped it to my root directory (it now exists a folder named ezintranet under htdocs).
4. Updated site.ini.append.php in both <i>htdocs\ezintranet\....\intranet</i> and <i>htdocs\ezintranet\....\intranet_admin</i> with Server, User, Password, Database and charset. I have also added <i>http://localhost/index.php/ezintranet</i> to the "Site URL" tag.
5. Made a new database, called ezpublish (as filled in in number 4), and executed intranet.sql in MySQL query Browser.

When I'm pointing my explorer to http://localhost/index.php/ezintranet, I'm getting to a fresh installation window of Ez Publish, ending up with the following error:
<i>EZSW-004
Failed inserting data to mysql
Table 'ezapprove_items' already exists
EZSW-040
Failed to initialize site package plain </i>

Can anyone help me moving on?

Hello Vidar

If you're doing the manual installation, you shouldn't end up with the installation wizard, but with two useable site accesses.

Do you have the following setting in settings/override/site.ini.append(.php)?

[SiteAccessSettings]
CheckValidity=false

(as described on http://ez.no/doc/ez_publish/technical_manual/3_8/installation/manual_installation/manual_configuration_of_ez_publish ).

I didn't test the ez_intranet solution yet and I do not know it's installation procedure, so I'm not sure this is what you're looking for.

Hi Kristof!

I tried to do as you suggested, and now I'm getting a log in window, with the error

kernel::50
No database connection could be made, the system might not behave properly.

I have checked that my database settings (DB name and password are correct).
I'm doing something wrong in the installation... I'll keep trying, but if anybody have any good suggestions, feel free to share! :)
