I am using the demo-news section as a template for our Intranet but when I create a folder under news and then go to the user site I cant see it in anyways. I would like to see it in the mainwindow with the articles that there are on the same level. I am using EZRC1, and working in the template: /user/override/templates/pagelayout_section_3.tpl

Hi,
there are several possibilities why you fail:

role-setup: the user on user-side has not the appropriate rights to view the folder/article. Try to login /user/login as admin and test if you can access the news direct: /content/view/full/'node_id'. If you can do this as admin but not as ordinary user its a role problem.

assignment of the folder: in admin-interface go to the section in which you want to show the folder and press assign and assign the news folder to the section. write down the node_id of the folder you want to show. go into the pagelayout_3.tpl and have a look at the {section}-part if the node_id for your news-folder is appropriate.

there are several more possibilities why access can fail. if the above doesnt help bring more details in your next forum reply.

I still doesnt seem to work or is it not possible to do this as standard? I have tried to create the following folder on the test site: My folder / My company / News / Tonny test folder. when I go to the 'user test site', I still cant see the folder. If I search for it, then I can click on the link and go to the page.
