I'm trying to install EZ Publish on a site hosted by linux Apache. Everything is ok until after I select languages on the Language Support page and click next - the progress bar stops at 42% and nothing happens

Summary

System: OK

I have uploaded the files from ezpublish-4.3.0-full-with_ezc-gpl

Hi,

first check that all ez publish requirements are rights. You got any error message ? Can you check ez publish var/log/error.log ?

Hi!

The install does not report any errors

IT continues after I enter the database settings

Stopps after i select language

No errors in logfile

Have reuploaded the ez files and created a new database, but it still stops at 42% after selecting language

If it times out after a while, it is probably because you are not able to connect to the internet: on the next page after the language choice the setup wizard contacts eZP servers to get the list of packages available for your version.

Fixes:

- increase max_execution_time in php.ini, restart web server

- make sure the webserver can connect to the internet

- or add in the settings/siteaccess/setup folder a site.ini.append.php file where you specify an outgoing proxy needed to connect to the net from the webserver

PS: I am sure you clicked on the 'finetune' button in the 1st page, did you?

Hi!

Yes, I have clicked on the "finetune" button, and all I get is one issue about time zone configuratin (set timezone: date.timezone = "Europe/Oslo)

I altered the setting in config.php. My site is on a external web host, so I do not have access to the php.ini file

I have sent a mail to my web host asking if there is a firewall.. that can cause this

Hi!

My web host is blocking outgoing connections, but can open the necessary ip range or address - I asked them to open for ez.no - is that right? or is there other addresses that needs to bee opened?
