What's the status of eZ Publish 3.9 running on FreeBSD? After a quick search of ez.no it seems that the question of eZ Publish running on FreeBSD platforms hasn't been discussed since version 3.4.

Does anyone have an installation of eZ Publish 3.9 running on a FreeBSD system. Are there any special issues to be aware of?

Hi,

I have already experienced a site eZ on FreeBSD. Our development platform runs on FreeBSD. However in production environment we had a big problem with the process MySQL. We even led to an audit by eZ systems to see if the cause was'nt the developments. This site still running on FreeBSD but the MySQL server is on a second server on Debian.

After some research on my side I found that the implementation of threads on FreeBSD was not the same as Linux. But my knoweldges on FreeBSD aren't enough important and I have failed to solve the problem, therefore we use since this day Debian for eZ (as recommended by eZ Systems).
The symptoms were that the process MySQL amounted to more than 100% and kill the server very often when there was a little load.
On our development platform (which is rarely loaded) everything is fine.

Hoping to help you;)
