Hi,

i've many troubles with eZ because i would like to install it on a remote server (Provider)
does someone do it with success ?

I can't find the Sql database to export and most providers allow only one database ...
is eZ compatible with this ?

and finally is there a package for this type of installation cose i think i will be obliged to pass to an other CMS if i don't succes in migrating my local server :(

Hi,

I've done it, just upload the files to the folder on your website and run the installer.

It will ask you for the db name and as you only have on db, you will be asked during the install which database to use.

Normally you can add the tables of to a db, all of them start with ez (if you have more tables already in place). Normally this should not interfere with any tables you already have in the db.

Hi,

It's Ok !

but when i try to install, i've an error :

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 46080 bytes) in /var/www/free.fr/2/6/intranet/ezpublish/lib/ezdb/classes/ezmysqldb.php on line 430

This means the memory limit of PHP is exceeded. Many providers set this vlaue to just 8 or 16MB, which is far too low for eZ publish, which needs at least 40MB, better still 64MB.
Ask your provider to raise it. If they won't, you're out of luck, try another CMS, or another provider.
