Are you installing on a clean database or is there data present in it already?

Hi Gavin,

You have this error because from some reasons eZ publish installation stops.

What is your system configuration?

Here you find requirements for eZ publish
http://ez.no/ezpublish/requirements

Try also delete all tables from database and if you e.g choose "News" package during installation delete var/news dir too, then click retry.

I hope it will help. If not try with eZ publish installer.

I had the same errors, because ezpublish' setup wizard got a outofmemory error during the last step. It had created the tables in the database and a folder in /var, but then crashed. After reload I got the errors EZSW-004/EZSW-040.

Dropped all tables (or drop and recreate the database)
Removed the folder [home]/var/[package]

and reloaded the page, crossed my fingers, didnt crash, done.

I had the same problem with eZ 3.8.0
I've changed the server and on the new one everything is OK.
I think it's a problem with too high server load or server location (ping).
On the old one ping was around 130ms, new one <50
