I am not sure whether you are serious about this...
If you check the source code of the webpage you can see that you are simply asked to log in. Someone was so intelligent to put the login form in an html comment and to top that the error message is displayed white on white.

This site doesnt require an account login to view the content.
We have this in the site.ini.append.php file

The kernel (1) error you had before was the usual access denied message but as the page is working fine now you obviously fixed the permissions. The only 'problem' I can see now is that the starting page of your website is empty but this is just a matter of putting some content in. So if you should have a problem I do not see right now please post again with some information about the problem.
Please note that you should use the htaccess that ez provides. At the moment your settings directory is wide open. This does not matter as long as you use the .php file extensions and put everything inside in a php comment but better be safe than sorry.
Regards
