I have a question about the following. I want to make a website in the English luanguage but I want to allow articles in Russion or Chineees. Is there any problem to mix a characterset like that? Is there anything particular that I should pay attention too?

Hi,
You will need to use a UTF-8 database so you can store the Unicode characters you will need to allow Russian and Chineese. I would suggest MySQL >4.1.3 or PostgreSQL. The site setup is straighforward. http://ez.no/ez_publish/documentation/configuration/configuration/language_and_charset/how_to_setup_a_multilingual_sitehttp://ez.no/ez_publish/documentation/configuration/configuration/language_and_charset/unicode_with_ez_publish
Good luck

Also note that as eZ is today it's laid out for having different siteaccesses for the different languages. But still works to setup translations of individual articles, it's just not that very well explained anywhere. Will add in to another thread here how to list your translations which I troubled with for a while.
Plus it is not made to have the site in English and have articles that do not exist in English in other languages. Sure can find a workaround for that but it's a thing to have in mind - no non-english if there isn't an english version.
